Officials Level 2 Course - October 25th, 28th & November 1st, 4th via Zoom

Please note that Ski Nova Scotia will be hosting an Officials Level 2 course on October 25th, October 28th, November 1st & November 4th from 6pm-8pm Atlantic via Zoom.

-       What: The Level 2 course has been designed as a detailed introduction to the methodology of alpine ski racing, the types of races, rules, points systems as well as preparing officials for the managerial positions of chief of gates judges, chief of course, chief of race, start referee, finish referee and referee (coaches). It is a fairly intensive course and does not cover in any detail the material presented in Level 1.
The objectives of the course are to develop officials capable of functioning at a carded-level race and to provide a base of experience and knowledge to course participants to allow them to assume greater responsibilities at higher-level races.

-       Who: We encourage anyone who has previously taken an Officials Level 1 Course to sign up for the Officials Level 2 course. If you have not taken a Level 1 course before but possess a high level of alpine ski proficiency, we recommend signing up as well. Officials Course Requirements here – https://alpinecanada.org/page/officials.

-       Cost: Free! Ski Nova Scotia will be covering the cost of the Level 2 course to better support our clubs.

-       Registration: Please complete this google form to register for the Level 2 course - https://alpinepoints.ca/officials/courses/#500006

-       Facilitators: Brad Lashley & Claude Marquis
