PRIVACY STATEMENT

Alpine Ski Nova Scotia (hereinafter referred to as “ASNS”) respects the privacy of all of its members and associates and has developed this statement to let them know what information it collects and how it is used and under what circumstances it may be disclosed.
ASNS only collects information that is voluntarily submitted to us. Such information may include name, title, Club membership information, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and/or credit card information. Credit card information is not retained and is used for transaction processing only.
This Policy pertains to personal information which is defined in PIPEDA. Personal information will only be collected by consent and will only be used for the purpose for which it is submitted unless we, ASNS, disclose other uses at the time of collection. In that case you will have an opportunity to inform us not to use your information in other ways.
When you join or renew membership in ASNS, we collect basic contact information to administer our membership and to contact you about ASNS events or events which it sanctions or co-sponsors.
From time to time ASNS is asked to provide member contact information to third parties. If such information is disclosed to third parties, we demand that the third parties only use it for the specific purpose for which it has been disclosed and no other. If a member or Club lets us know that he, /she or it does not want to be contacted by third parties under any circumstances, we will not provide his, her or its contact information. There may be limited circumstances where we are required by law to provide our membership list.
ASNS is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information entrusted to us. The use and disclosure of personal information shall be done only to the extent necessary to perform ASNS duties, to provide membership services and information, or where such use and disclosure is required by our contractual obligations and/or the law.
ASNS will not sell or transfer your personal information to a third party without your prior consent.
You have the right to access to your personal information and ASNS will make reasonable efforts to update or correct personal information previously submitted by you. If you request, we can delete your information from our data base and refrain from collection of any other personal data from you. However, it may be impossible to delete all personal information without some residual data because of backups and records of deletion.
ASNS reserves the right to revise this Policy from time to time. When a change is made a revised copy will be posted on our website. It is your responsibility to review it from time to time to remain current with regards to our practices and policies.
