Mission
Alpine Ski Nova Scotia (ASNS) is the official governing body for alpine ski racing and development program in Nova Scotia as recognized by Alpine Canada Alpin and Sport Nova Scotia.
ASNS is responsible for:
- Scheduling and overseeing of coaches certification
- Overseeing Officials certification
- Maintenance of database for membership and National points
- Administration of all membership issues, account management, strategic planning, report preparation, program development
- Ensuring effective communication among Clubs
- Organizing the MARS NS CUP race Series Calendar
- National and regional liason with Sport Governing agencies
- Liason with all levels of government, Canada Games management groups, etc.
- Insurance for all participants and events
- Lobbying for Sport Recognition
- Volunteer recognition
- Co-ordinating teams for National events
